And the Award Goes To….
Recently, Daniel and James from the Rope and Anchor attended the annual Toast of Wadworthshire Awards in Devizes, Wiltshire. The annual Wadworth event recognises the best of the best in various categories, culminating in the hotly contested Tenant of the Year and Manager of the Year Awards! The event always gets a spectacular turn-out, and this year was no-exception.
The Rope and Anchor had been tipped to pickup some silverware on the night, and much to the delight of both Daniel and James, the Rope and Anchor gained accreditation in the Best Newcomer Award – a category which recognises pubs which have been newly taken on that have been reinvigorated under new ownership.
Daniel was said to be over the moon with the recognition, and has been quick to praise everyone involved:
“Myself and James aim to make the Rope and Anchor a really friendly place to come, where people can enjoy a good pint and enjoy some quality home-cooked food. As well as the regular nights such as the Pub Quiz and the Friday night music, we’ve quickly made the Rope and Anchor a second home for many people in Poole – and we can’t wait to welcome more people through the door. This recognition is testament to not just myself and James, but also to every single member of staff that helps clean, cook and pull pints – we couldn’t have done it without them”.
The Rope and Anchor is open every day of the week from noon, so why not give us a try! Give us a call or send us a message if you’d like to book a table with us – we’re really looking forward to welcoming you in!
